Maiden Voyage
We made it to Maine! What a long, strange trip it’s been.
Sorry to say that posting blogs on the website has taken a back burner to the simpler and more immediate platforms of social media. Please check out the latest there, and once we’re in a more stable environment, able to contemplate more than just sleep, eat, watch, cats and boat maintenance,
It’s hard to believe we’ve been here a month already, with the same projected splash date–in a week or two.
Since we were here for the holiday anyway, we went ahead and dreamed of a white Christmas, and Santa didn’t disappoint. We also dreamed of getting a firmer splash date from the boat builder so we could work on our flights and figure out how to get our three cats down to Argentina with us. Santa brought not only that, but also Dove chocolates with wrappers that said “Book the Flight”, so we went for it!
We’ve gotten lots of new photos from the factory and Sorella is really coming along. I was going to say she’s starting to look like a boat, but the photos still need quite a bit of explanation to the untrained eye.
Today marks four weeks on the island in Maine. So what have we been up to? As it turns out, not much.
These three boys have done really well adapting to their new home in New Hampshire. Tito has been to the vet so we can get his insulin prescription refilled and got his rabies shot, which the other two will need as well before we leave for Buenos Aires (more on that later). Everyone has settled …
