Since we were here for the holiday anyway, we went ahead and dreamed of a white Christmas, and Santa didn't disappoint. We also dreamed of getting a firmer splash date from the boat builder so we could work on our flights and figure out how to get our three cats down to Argentina with us. Santa brought not only that, but also Dove chocolates with wrappers that said "Book the Flight", so we went for it!
The airlines don’t let you bring two cats per person unless they are small cats of the same breed that fit in one carrier. Since our smallest cat is 13 pounds, that is not a possibility for us. The only other options we could consider were to leave one cat here or fly someone down with us. No, I’m not leaving a cat. Who would we leave? Not the diabetic. Not the one who snuggles with me all night. Not the one who is finally starting to get past his abandonment issues and act like a normal human being. They’re all getting along quite well, and we can’t imagine destroying the bonds they’ve so-recently formed. Plus, who would take him?
So we’re flying our brother-in-law Ted down with us. Since he’s here where we are, it means not trying to schedule more flights to get someone here and back.
