We've gotten lots of new photos from the factory and Sorella is really coming along. I was going to say she's starting to look like a boat, but the photos still need quite a bit of explanation to the untrained eye.
We’re currently in Maryland at the Annapolis Sailboat Show and are having a great time hanging out with other Antares owners on s/v Halo, talking to boat show attendees about the boat and why we chose it. We love that there are no “sales reps” for Antares, just owners, volunteering to be there to answer questions. What better sales pitch could you have?
We’re taking the opportunity to prowl around the other catamarans we considered as we did our research, and though there may be certain aspects we like, we are reassured in our decision for the quality and safety of our boat, and we feel no buyers’ regret.
We were given an updated splash date of mid-February, which instantly had me dreading the cold winter in New Hampshire. Instead of being annoyed, we’re feeling good about getting to spend the winter holidays with Stephen’s family before we move.

One advantage to being at the show is the boat builder was in attendance, and we were able to henpeck him incessantly with questions and demands… Since there were three new boat-build couples here, Sancho was really run through the ringer, but he was always gracious and agreeable to our special requests. I almost want to say he’s a yes man, but that doesn’t have the right connotation to be the compliment it’s meant to be. We are so impressed with Antares’s commitment to building the very best boats, thereby making their owners the happy, loyal family we are.
